Hello all 🙂
A person’s mental health can have a huge impact on their life – and on their family and friends, too.
I’ve chosen to share an email that I received earlier today from the charity Mind. Please read it and if you want to donate, great!
Or, if you want to do something very simple to help someone you will know who suffers from mental health problems, TALK to and LISTEN to them.
Trust me – it helps. 🙂
“I’m writing to as many Mind supporters as possible today, including members, donors and campaigners – to say thank you and to ask for your help.
The recent tragic loss of Robin Williams inspired an almost overwhelming response from people who care about mental health. We received more calls and visits to our website than ever before. On the morning of 12 August we published a post on Facebook simply saying ‘It’s OK to ask for help’ and thanks to people like you sharing it, this message was seen by 1.5 million people around the world.
We also firmly believe that when people ask for help they should get it. If you agree, please continue to support us in any way you can. If you can make a donation today, that would be amazing. But if you can’t, that’s OK too – we’d be really grateful if you could just tell people about our work and share this donation info with your family and friends.
Text SUPPORT to 70660 to give a one-off donation of £3
Text MIND to 70007 to donate £3 a month, and you can skip any payment

Thank you so much for your help in these recent, unprecedented weeks – for speaking out, talking about mental health with your friends or for raising money for us. We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect – and we genuinely can’t do that without you alongside us.
